Persephone

 

Persephone was another inspired piece, I did not know who she was when I began her but I worked through until her true face emerged. After she was done it became clear she was a double sided work and the dark aspect revealed itself to be the battered and mummy-like face of Perspehone. Forced underground after being raped and abduucted she emerges in her spring manifestation as a cloaked and ribboned character of immense power.
